Default Well that was the good news.....

You guys are the closest thing to family so here goes....

I am so excited about the new bike, and also had an MRI on my back to bring me back to earth.
Long story short, my back bones are turning to dust (lay diagnosis from 2 nurses in my family).
The pain is about 5 out of 10 now but no - where to go but worse.
This kind of bike is the worse thing for my back but the BEST thing for me overall, so what the hell....
I made it to 60 yrs and NEVER EVER thought I would.
My words of advice: "Live every day as if it were your last"
Another great man said "Every day is a gift".
I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but Randy had a pic of himself with him as his avatar for awhile (on some other board ).
I am not giving going to give in to the pain and somehow it disappears when I ride.
I will ride the ass off this thing as long as I am conscious.
Hell for me what else is there but to ride.
I've been doing it since I was 14 and it is still all I live for.
As long as I can get on... and hang on... I'm alive.
John McGuinness (of TT fame) coined it best:
"I feel a bit embarrassed but I have not an interest in…. not one slightest percent in me is interested in anything but motorbikes. It is really bizarre".
Enclosed (2 pics) is the medical terminology short form for "You're F*CKED" (for all you medical buffs).
Keep riding and I hope you guys love this pass time half as much as I do!!
I know you do or you would not be reading this.
    One last thing.
I read a quote once which I now try and live by:
"Our journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways totally worn out and shouting “holy shit, what a ride!

    Take care all my brothers!

If as you say the pain is not there when you ride this must be your medication so take it every day.

I'll have to move to somewhere a lot warmer to ride every day, but I truly am considering it

Yes I don't think the cold is much good for your back maybe some warmer weather would help.

You're a true die hard rider! Kudos to you.
Hope you have a great time on the new ride and that your pain does not increase.
Still hoping for the day when we can do this > eye to eye!
    Ride safe
